Hey everyone! Seeing as how we haven't updated the journal here in over a year (time sure flew this year!) I thought I'd advertise a new weekly project a lot of lolita blogs have started doing called 'Lolita Blog Carnival'.

"What is a Blog Carnival you ask? Simply put, it's a group of bloggers who all decide on a common topic to all blog about on the same day and then they follow up their post with a link to all the other blogger's posts about the topic. It's a great way to get involved with other Lolibloggers, get some blogging inspiration, and to promote some great blogs!"

The first topic picked was something I think a lot of you will find useful: Creating a complete lolita coordinate for under $100!

Here are a few blogs that had made entries:

F Yeah Lolita [link]
Darkly Darling [link]
Miss Lumpy [link]
Starry Dreams [link]
Parfait Doll [link]

(They link to many more, so check those out as well!)
Just a quick announcement.

Since our "Wallpaper" folder doesn't get used very often, I decided to rename it "Miscellaneous", and expand it to be suitable for anything lolita that just can't quite fit in with the other folders.

Our "Miscellaneous" folder can include:
-wallpapers
-stamps
-memes
-literature

Please keep in mind that all of these must still be lolita related.

That's all, thank you!
Hello everyone!

Traffic here has been getting pretty heavy for the past few months, so I've finally decided to change the submission limit.

Where previously we allowed 3 submissions a day, it is now 2 submissions a day.

Hopefully this will slightly lighten the load so you're not bombarded with tons of stuff in your inbox, and we won't have to worry about taking a day off only to find 50+ new submissions to filter through afterwards haha.

It's not that big of a change, but I hope it isn't too much of an inconvenience to anyone!

And the other mods and I have been thinking it's gotten awfully quiet on our end, so we are in the middle of planning a new contest! This round I'm hoping to include a lot more lolita items to give away as prizes. <:
Since a lot of it will be coming out of my own pocket, I'll need some time to gather funds and order everything. I'm hoping we'll be able to kick off the new contest somewhere in late August, or early September, so keep an eye out for that!
Discussion post time!

What kind of lolita are you?

Gothic, sweet, classic, or one of the others? Do you find yourself going back and forth between substyles, or maybe even mixing them? Did you start out falling headfirst for OTT sweet, but now wear subdued classic? Any substyle you'd like to try?
Even if you don't wear lolita, still feel free to talk about which one you enjoy the most visually, or gives you the most inspiration to draw.

I'm interested to see which style(s) are most popular here. :)

If you're unfamiliar with the various substyles of lolita fashion, here are some helpful links:

Just a quick entry to inform everyone that I've changed our icon into something a little more eye-catching. (:
Animated icons, woo!
