Hi everyone! I hope your holidays have been well. :)

I wanted to get some opinions on our submissions limit. As of now, we allow 3 submissions a day per person.

However, with the increase in our members, we've been getting a little overwhelmed with the amount of submissions we're getting. On top of that, we really don't want to be flooding everyone's messages with tons of stuff, which we've had complaints about before.

So I wanted to hear from everyone: would you like this amount changed? Instead of 3 submissions a day per person, should it be 2? Or even 1? Would you prefer if we allowed MORE submissions a day?

Please let us know how you feel! Depending on the response we get, I may change the submission limit here.
I've been putting this off for awhile, but I've made a quick update to our front page rules pertaining to art theft.

"7. We DO NOT accept traced, copied, or otherwise stolen work. Please give credit where credit is due, and don't submit anything that goes against Deviantart's ToS."

It's not something I see a whole lot, but once in awhile we'll get submissions which are obvious traces from popular lolita artists, (Imai Kira, Asumiko Nakamura, etc) or mangaka. (CLAMP, etc)

Some details on this rule:

- No traced, copied, or stolen work. Tracing the whole body, but then changing a little bit of the pose or some of the outfit is STILL COPYING.
- Having a style that is INSPIRED by another artists' style is absolutely fine as long as it does not violate the rule above.
- Referencing a pose or outfit, and then having it in your style is fine. Remember, there is a strong difference between tracing something, and referencing things like anatomy or how fabric folds work.
- Vectoring, or otherwise copying a print from a brand to put on a dress you drew is fine, as long as you do not claim the print design to be 100% your own original design. (with all the lolitas we have as members, you won't be fooling anyone anyway)
- Using photos from official brand ads is fine if used in a wallpaper and you do not claim the photos as your own.

If you notice anything in our gallery which is an obvious rip from another artist (dA artists' included), please let us know so we can remove it from our gallery. If it is a copy from another dA artist, I highly encourage you to then inform the original artist of the theft as well.

A lot of these are more or less common sense, but if you have any questions, please ask. (:

Also, I apologize for the recent slow modding! I usually take care of most of the messages myself, but lately I've been very very busy with school finals. (buttloads of project-work!) It'll be this way for another week or two, so please bare with us.
Hi everyone!

For the past few months, this group has been growing at a crazy rate (it was only started 10 months ago, and already has over 1,500 watchers!) So as one of the biggest lolita fashion groups on dA, I think it's high time we upgrade to a Super Group.

However, super groups are notably more expensive than just a subscription for a regular account (regularly $120), so we're turning towards point donations to help make this a possibility. (As well as to take advantage of dA's half-off Super Group offer.)

Unfortuneatly, dA has not implemented a way for us to put a donation poll on a group's page, so instead I have opened up one on mine. If you're interested in donating, please see my front page: [link]
The poll is on the left hand side, right below my awkward webcam.

Any and all donations are appreciated! As soon as we hit our goal of 4,796, I'll use those points to upgrade our group. With our member number in mind, this means that if everyone just donated 2-3 points, we'd have enough!

Super groups are really neat; here are some features of Super Groups:

- Renaming of social classes and applications
- Blog skins
- Customized page layouts
- Thumbnail usage
- Better organized folders in our gallery
- Customized sidebar and promotional widgets

I'll also be continuously updating on where we're at in the poll whenever we reach certain amounts/when I write new blogs about other events, to keep everyone informed until we have enough to upgrade.

And of course, if you have any questions, feel free to ask. Thank you!

Also, this is a reminder of the results for our last contest. If you signed up to donate a prize to any of the winners, please contact them as soon as you are able.

See this entry for the results: [link]
First off, I can't even begin to express how sorry I am that this has taken SO LONG for me to write. I was practically pulling my hair out while trying to pick winners; there are so many impressive entries that it was extremely difficult to pick just three!
So in light of that, at the last minute I've decided to add a fourth place. Since this is so sudden, I'm afraid that I don't have any assortment of prize donations available except from me, so I hope that's alright!

With that out of the way, I'd also like to say that I was tremendously pleased with all the entries! Thank you so much everyone who entered! Again, picking winners was extremely difficult because you've all blown me away with some really fantastic work! (:

Anyway, enough of my yammering-- Here are the winners!

----------------------------------

4th Place
:iconbogo-the-hobo: Entry: [link]
- This is GORGEOUS. All the details show that an insane amount of time and effort went into this piece! The colour scheme is wonderful as well. Really, the only gripe I had was that she didn't submit the clean-image version instead: [link]. It's so much easier to see the detail, even though I understand that the former format was because this was meant to be a print for a dress. Regardless, beautiful textures and overall image!

You win:
- A brand new pink Baby, The Stars Shine Bright tote bag from ~Ruin-HCI
I don't have a personal photo on me, but here's how it looks like: [link]

3rd Place
:iconloli-belle: Entry: [link]
- This was one of my absolute favourites from the very start. I love the clean lines and colour; I can't believe it was mainly done in just pen! The design overall is just fantastic and I love the way the red pops.

You win:
~Ruin-HCI Sketch request
~xipix Headshot sketch
~mangacraz00 Line art request
~Trione Headshot watercolour request
~Bloodmyer Chibi request

2nd Place
:iconomipon: Entry: [link]
- I fell in love with this design. It's so ridiculously cute, especially the colour scheme! You don't see deep forest greens used in lolita too often, but it looks great here. I also love the fact that she was the only one who used Peter Pan for her fairy tale, which is something I hadn't really expected to see. The caplet is super adorable, and the classic-lolita esque pattern used on the clothing works surprisingly well for a design this whimsical. Not to mention THAT LEAF BAG. I need it in my life right now, haha.

You win:
~Ruin-HCI Sketch request
~leo22334455 Chibi copic sketch
~xipix Headshot sketch
~WishBlink Coloured waistup copic request
~Trione Waistshot watercolour request
~Bloodmyer General request

1st Place! *drumroll*
:iconzarsu: Entry: [link]
- Where do I start? Great photography, great setting, and great outfits! Really fantastic work on the parts of both the photographer and model. I really felt the characters come through in these. I'm head-over-heels for Snow White's outfit. It's really just the most perfect mixture of the Fairy Tale original outfit and lolita, without it looking too costumey. The step-mother is also impressive as well; I really like the velvety cloak/hood, and the shot of her close-up does a great job of making her look like a true villain!

You win:
~Ruin-HCI Full colour request + 3 month subscription
~leo22334455 Copic fullbody sketch
~lemontree11 Full colour request
~xipix Coloured headshot sketch
!lovelylady123 Request
~Loli-Belle Grayscale request
~kyusai Eyepatch
~Hemllock Full colour request
~Trione Fullbody watercolour request
~Bloodmyer Request + feature on blog and comic

And of course, I think some honorable mentions are due! (in no particular order)

I was really impressed with the dynamic perspective and energy in this piece!

-:iconblack-and-blue-berry: Entry: [link]
You can really tell that a lot of consideration was put into designing her outfit to reflect the story.

-:iconnika-n: Entry: [link] [link] [link]
Really loved the concept of these. It's adorable and elegant, and just a bit morbid. ;)

:iconcrystalalluvion: Entry: [link]
Fantastic entry. I love the painterly look, and the colours are gorgeous.

Again, thank-you thank-you thank-you to everyone who entered! I was so extatic by all the entries we received; great job everyone!
All winners will have their work moved into our "Featured" folder.

I'd also appreciate any feedback, since this is I think the...second contest(?) held in this group. Is there anything you would like to change? More winning places? Categories depending on mediums used? A voting system to choose winners? Do you like these contests and look forward to another one in the future? All input is appreciated!

One last note to the winners and prize donators:

If you are a prize donator and donated a prize, please contact the winner(s) listed that you were put down for. It is YOUR responsibility to contact them and tell them what they've won, and to follow through with it!
If you are one of the place holders, and don't get contacted by a person listed who was supposed to give you a prize, please contact them after week or so to inquire about it. They may have just missed this entry.
If any issues come up after that, please contact us. I would like to be able to make a note of people who didn't follow through on their prize donations, but also please be lenient if they tell you they have time constrictions that may slow down them being able to finish your prize in a timely manner. (school, work, etc)

If you placed and won a physical item, but are uncomfortable with giving away your address, please let me know (either the prize donator, or winner can tell us). It will be passed down to the next willing placeholder. Remember, if you are the prize donator, it's in good taste to also pay for shipping fees as well.

If you have any additional questions, feel free to ask me, thank you everyone!
